Abstract

The total workforce in August 2023 was 1,407.64 thousand people, an increase of 3.33 thousand people compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) was 67.18 percent, a decrease of 0.05 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) was 4.10 percent, a decrease of 0.16 percentage points from August 2022.
The working population is 1,349.88 thousand people, an increase of 5.40 thousand people compared to August 2022.
The main job with the largest increase in the percentage of workers was the Mining and Quarrying category which reached 2.83 percentage points, while the largest decrease occurred in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries category, namely 3.84 percentage points compared to August 2022.
 A total of 649.78 thousand people (48.14 percent) of the population worked in formal activities, a decrease of 0.36 percentage points compared to August 2022.
The percentage of underemployed workers increased by 0.74 percentage points, while the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 0.39 percentage points compared to August 2022.
