Abstract

In February 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Kalimantan Tengah Province will be 2.46 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.27. The highest inflation occurred in Kapuas at 2.90 percent with a CPI of 106.13 and the lowest occurred in Sampit at 2.14 percent with a CPI of 104.52.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.83 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group 0.19 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 0.90 percent; health group 1.15 percent; transportation group 1.27 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 3.04 percent; education group 2.40 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 2.26 percent; and the personal care and other services group 1.03 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the clothing and footwear group by 0.10 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.02 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Kalimantan Tengah Province for February 2024 are -0.46 percent and -0.27 percent respectively.
