September 2024: The number of air transportation passengers during September 2024 decreased by 4.91 percent compared to August 2024 and the number of sea transportation passengers decreased by 3.56 percent

Abstract

Flight frequency in September 2024 decreased by 1.44 percent compared to August 2024, from 1,247 flights to 1,229 flights.
The number of air transportation passengers decreased by 4.91 percent, from 120,262 people (August 2024) to 114,358 people (September 2024).
Goods traffic using air transportation decreased by 6.99 percent, from 2,116 tons (August 2024) to 1,968 tons (September 2024).
During September 2024, air passenger activity (54.41 percent) and goods flow (74.19 percent) are concentrated at Tjilik Riwut Palangka Raya Airport.
The frequency of ship visits to ports in the Kalimantan Tengah region decreased by 0.96 percent, from 732 visits (August 2024) to 725 visits (September 2024).
The number of sea transportation passengers decreased by 3.56 percent, from 34,925 people (August 2024) to 33,681 people (September 2024).
Traffic of goods using sea transportation increased by 2.35 percent, from 1.64 million tonnes (August 2024) to 1.68 million tonnes (September 2024).
During September 2024, sea transport passenger activities were concentrated at Kumai Port (73.60 percent), while the flow of goods was concentrated at Sampit Port (57.00 percent).
