Kalimantan Tengah's Economy grew by 4.64 percent (Y-on-Y) on 3rd quarter of 2024

Abstract

  • The economy of Central Kalimantan based on the size of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices for the third quarter of 2024 reached IDR 55.4 trillion, based on constant prices in 2010 it reached IDR 29.4 trillion.
  • Central Kalimantan's economy in quarter III-2024 versus quarter III-2023 (Y-on-Y) grew by 4.64 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Other Services Business field at 12.71 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the highest growth of 15.63 percent.
  • The economy of Central Kalimantan in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the second quarter of 2024 (Q-to-Q) experienced growth of 1.24 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Construction Business Field at 23.21 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component at 11.45 percent.
  • The cumulative Central Kalimantan economy until the third quarter of 2024 grew by 4.48 percent (C-to-C). In terms of production, the Mining and Quarrying Business Field experienced the highest growth of 8.64 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions serving Households (PK-LNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 18.33 percent.
  • The spatial economic structure of Kalimantan in the third quarter of 2024 is still dominated by East Kalimantan Province at 47.03 percent. Central Kalimantan Province is in fourth place with a contribution of 12.20 percent. On a Q-to-Q, Y-on-Y, and C-to-C basis, all provinces in the Kalimantan region experienced positive growth.
